The Canary Islans and the Balearic Islands are an international reference for tourism thanks to the leisure and natural offer.
There are two regions in Spain where tourism will never let you down. These are the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. These islands are an international reference thanks to the ample leisure offer, natural highlights but most of all for the sun and beautiful beaches. Both are destinations ideal for a relaxing break or active adventure holidays.
The Canary Islands offers one of the best climates allowing the visitor de enjoy a holiday year round. There is no other place in Europe where you can enjoy 24ºC in the winter. Seven little islands or may we call them treasures, each very different from one another guarantee breathtaking natural wonders and endless fun.
In our hotels in Gran Canaria you are able to relax and enjoy sun as well as enjoy the wonderful white sandy beaches ideal to practice all sorts of watersports. The constant trade-winds make it a dream location for windsurfers. Don’t miss the secluded corners that hide impressive scenery such as the Dunes of Maspalomas, the Barranco de Guayadeque or the Roque Nublo.
The locals are friendly and cheery and very proud of their traditions and festivities. The local gastronomy is also a highlight that you will never forget. Trying the Papas con mojo, the gofio escaldado or the traditional sweet desserts is a must.
Gran Canaria is well known world wide for its colorful Carnaval. It is one of the oldest traditions and in 2011 was declared a feast of touristic relevance where the Canarios and many visitors take over the streets and enjoy the days of celebrations with the grand parade and conclude it with the Entierro de la Sardina.
In the Mediterranean waters you find the Balearic Islands one of the favorite holiday destinations. Made up of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera they all boast of an incomparable beauty that will captivate any visitor. The spectacular beaches, the unique and world famous sunsets and the insider routes and promenades along the picturesque villages make it irresistible for any traveler. From our hotels you are close to the beaches with turquoise waters and white sand as well as many leisure and cultural highlights.
You cannot miss out on the Ensaimadas, the Sobrassada or the Tumbet made for local fresh vegetables or the Frito Mallorquin. One of the most popular dishes for its flavors is the Arròs brut, certainly one of the local delicacies.
Locals and visitors fall in love with the many traditions and feasts; Sant Sebastià the Patron Saint of Palma, Sant Antoni with the fire and demons are some of the most acclaimed festivities. The battles of the Moros and Cristianos or the night of San Juan celebrated on the beaches are without a doubt an experience that must be lived. If you are looking for more hustle and bustle the capital city of Palma offers culture, art as well and shopping experiences and night time leisure activities.
Both these destinations combine nature, culture and the sea…mostly the sea. The visitors that decide to discover these warm coasts find beauty and charm in these two paradises that must be lived and visited again and again.
